The Oostvoorduinen cover 65 hectares. This rather unspectacular landscape is one of early medieval dunes.

There is little open sand to be found in this hushed landscape. The soft rolling dunes are overgrown with moss or short grass. Shrubs appear here and there. It is an open landscape. Dense bushes and shrubs are almost non-existent.
